As an integral part of our operations, you will work closely with the Fleet/Building Maintenance Manager to maintain a fleet that includes compact cars, box trucks, dump trucks, and tractor trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical systems to accurately identify issues.
- Examine and repair vehicle computer and electronic systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as fluid replacements and lubrication, to enhance vehicle longevity.
- Plan and schedule future maintenance sessions while advising drivers on best practices for vehicle use.
- Diagnose and rectify issues by repairing or replacing faulty components.
- Maintain detailed logs of work performed and issues encountered.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are kept in excellent working condition.
- Demonstrated experience as an automotive technician.
- Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic tools and methodologies.
- Proficient in using various tools and heavy equipment safely.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and handle hazardous materials.
- Strong physical condition and stamina.
- A high school diploma is preferred; vocational certification or apprenticeship completion is advantageous.
- Valid automotive certification (e.g., ASE) is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles.
- Possession of a clean and valid driver's license.
