About the Role

We are looking for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in medical malpractice/healthcare litigation to join our team. As a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney, you will work collaboratively with senior litigators to develop litigation strategy for the defense of medical malpractice actions. You will also draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with senior litigators to develop litigation strategy for the defense of medical malpractice actions
  • Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents
  • Represent clients in court
  • Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings, and all other aspects of medical malpractice litigation
  • Interact with medical experts
  • Conduct legal and medical research and analysis
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Interact with clients
Requirements
  • Admission to practice in New York
  • At least three years of experience in medical malpractice/healthcare litigation

The anticipated pay range for this role is $115,000 - $135,000, representing our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range as of August 2024. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
