Job Description:">

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at WestCare. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing preventative, repair, and upgrade maintenance to our locations.

">Essential Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and upgrades to facility equipment and appliances.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services rendered on provided forms.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct preventive and ongoing maintenance of all equipment, including tools used in the performance of job duties.
  • Construction and Renovation: Assist with construction and renovation projects as needed.
  • Logistics: Provide pickup, delivery, and transportation services occasionally.
  • Inventory Management: Record, track, and maintain logs of assigned tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Assist with general sanitation of the facility, including light cleaning and trash collection.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other WestCare staff as needed to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community.
  • Adaptability: Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

">Education:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Graduation from a vocational training program related to the position is preferred.
">Certifications/Licensures:
  • Relevant certification, training, and/or licensure is preferred; preference will be given to certified candidates.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance is required.
">Experience and Competencies:
  • At least three (3) years' experience working in a maintenance technician role or similar position is required.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others in a pleasant and professional manner is required.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and experience in custodial and/or maintenance work, preferably within a large business or organization, is required.
  • Previous plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and/or other trade experience is required.
  • The ability to exercise good judgment and discretion is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • The willingness to seek out new work projects and contribute ideas and efforts to the constant improvement of WestCare services is preferred.
