Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Long-Term Care (LTC)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for an exciting 13-week contract in a long-term care (LTC) facility in Granbury, TX. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team, enhance your skills, and contribute to the well-being of patients in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Physical Therapists in providing therapy treatments to patients in a long-term care setting.
  • Implement treatment plans designed to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and restore physical function.
  • Monitor patient progress and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Document patient care services and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is required, with a strong background in long-term care preferred.
  • Must hold an active PTA license in Texas or a compact license that allows practice in Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
