Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Med Surg RN to join our team at a facility in Oneonta, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of med surg RN experience and be proficient in ACLS and BLS. The nurse will work in a tele tech environment, monitoring inpatient and observation telemetry, and be able to identify potential issues and notify the provider. Travel experience is preferred, and the caregiver must not be from Otsego county. The nurse is expected to make up any missed shifts within the same pay period or the following pay period, with the exception of mandated medical quarantine or at the manager's discretion. Two or more missed shifts will result in termination. The possibility of floating to another facility in the Bassett Healthcare Network exists.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a med surg setting
  • Monitor and manage patient telemetry, identifying potential issues and notifying the provider
  • Collaborate with the tele tech to ensure seamless patient care
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure patient needs are met
  • Float to other facilities in the Bassett Healthcare Network as needed


Requirements:

  • 1 year of med surg RN experience
  • ACLS and BLS certification
  • Ability to work in a tele tech environment
  • Travel experience preferred
  • Cannot be from Otsego county
