Role Summary
The Healthcare Assistant plays a crucial role in fulfilling the mission of Planned Parenthood of Tennessee & N. Mississippi by delivering exceptional healthcare services to our patients. Throughout the day, you will engage in patient evaluations, educational outreach, venipuncture, laboratory responsibilities, instrument sterilization, procedure room preparation and assistance, medical record management, and Front Office Support.
Daily Schedule
Our workday begins with a morning huddle and typically concludes in the early evening. Full-time Healthcare Assistants are expected to work four or five days within a standard Monday to Friday schedule.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Compensation: The starting hourly wage for this role ranges from $20 - $25 per hour, depending on certification and experience. Employees are acknowledged for their ongoing education and contributions during annual performance evaluations.
Employee Benefits: Full-time staff members enjoy 100% employer-covered medical, dental, life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability insurance, with options for vision care and pet insurance. Additionally, a 401K plan with employer matching is available.
Work-Life Balance:
Full-time employees accumulate generous paid time off, earning 15 days in the first year and 18 days in the second year. There are also 10 paid holidays and two floating holidays. After one year of service, employees are eligible for a fully paid 8-week parental leave program, allowing them to spend quality time with their families.

Qualifications for Success
Ideal candidates are certified medical assistants or have completed an accredited medical assistant/healthcare assistant program or possess an associate's degree. They bring relevant experience in a clinical healthcare environment, demonstrating a strong commitment to our mission and the delivery of high-quality healthcare, along with excellence in customer service. Candidates should exhibit confidence and competence in patient care and managing personal health information.
