Job Summary

An Ophthalmic Technician plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting ophthalmologists in their daily tasks. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch customer service to patients and their families
  • Assist ophthalmologists with patient exams, procedures, and testing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Perform various diagnostic tests, including dilation, refraction, and visual fields
  • Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and best practices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; COA or COT certification preferred
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours
