About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiation Therapist to join our team at Houston Methodist West Hospital. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in the planning, treatment, and monitoring of patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer and other conditions.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and simulation systems.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including dose calculations and beam arrangements.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiation Therapy (RT-T).
  • At least three years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, preferably in a radiation oncology setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
