Senior Geosynthetics Installation Assurance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Geosynthetics Installation Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc.
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that geosynthetic materials are installed in compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in solid waste/geosynthetic disciplines, with progressive experience in observation and construction administration of liner installation and soil testing.
A leader and team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills is required, along with effective communication skills for conveying inspection findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Observe and diligently document installation process on a job site, (quality, strength, and integrity of geosynthetic materials, including tension tests, seam integrity assessments, and geomembrane leak detection tests) in accordance with company and project specifications.
- Monitor and meticulously document all stages of geosynthetic installation, including preparation of subgrade, placement of geosynthetic materials, test results, corrective actions taken, seam welding or joining, and any additional comprehensive inspection reports for project documentation.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings to provide input on geosynthetics installation best practices, standards, and quality control measures.
- Provide training and guidance to CQA team on proper geosynthetics installation techniques and quality standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies related to geosynthetics installation and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with third-party testing laboratories and other relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate and reliable testing of geosynthetic materials.
Work Environment
- Working outdoors in all-weather types (hot, cold, in the rain, snow, sleet, and high wind)
- Driving to and from construction job sites in the Southeast (Road warrior position 100% travel)
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions (climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and respective motions).
