Kansas City University College of Dental Medicine seeks a highly qualified Periodontist to join our faculty as a full-time, clinical professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing periodontal protocols and procedures, integrating evidence-based best practices with clinical patient care, and guiding current research and scholarly activity in periodontology.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Develop and implement the periodontology curriculum, including pre-clinical materials, simulation, and laboratory exercises.
- Clinical Instruction: Deliver clinical periodontal therapy for patients and provide guidance to dental students in a fast-paced academic environment.
- Research and Scholarship: Guide current research and scholarly activity in periodontology and mentor dental student research in the area of periodontics.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct summative and formative pre-clinical and clinical student assessment in periodontal therapy.
- Faculty Collaboration: Collaborate with dental Group Practice Leaders, Assistant Group Practice Leaders, simulation faculty, and clinical faculty to integrate evidence-based best practices with clinical patient care.
- Education: D.D.S./D.M.D. degree and Certificate of completion of a CODA accredited Advanced Education Program in Periodontics.
- Licensure: Currently licensed in Missouri or have an active dental license in a US state or Canada and be eligible for licensure in Missouri.
- Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Periodontics.
