Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Laurel Highlands. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.
Responsibilities:
As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, and hair care. You will also be responsible for answering patient lights, participating in hourly rounds, and transporting patients to and from treatment centers. Additionally, you will maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, keep patient rooms clean and orderly, and maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be certified as a nursing assistant or have experience in a related field. You will also need to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire. Nursing students may be considered as nurse assistants if approved by the State Practice Act.
