About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Radiation Oncology team at our prestigious facility in Boston, MA.

The successful candidate will provide professional, competent, and compassionate nursing care to pediatric and adult patients and their families, assessing patient vital signs and monitoring for symptoms of radiation side effects.

Responsibilities include administering medications, infusions, and providing patient and caregiver teaching, as well as managing the recovery of patients post-radiation treatment, especially when anesthesia is involved.

The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with patients and their support systems to meet their individual needs and expectations, ensuring that care is safe, efficient, effective, and timely.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively and coordinate patient care with physicians, advanced practice providers, radiation therapists, and medical assistants, using clinical computer applications like Mosaiq and Epic to effectively manage and document patient information.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required
  • Previous experience in caring for pediatric and adult patient populations is preferred
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required
  • Specialty certification is preferred
  • Oncology nursing experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in email and Microsoft applications, including Excel, is required
  • Experience with health information technology, such as Epic, is required
  • Phlebotomy skills are required
  • Basic Life Support Certification is recommended
  • Experience with clinical applications is recommended
