Custodian Substitute Position

Lumpkin County Schools is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill a substitute custodian role. This position involves performing various custodial duties, including cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance of school facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, and other areas of the school
  • Operate pressure washers, painting equipment, and floor scrubbers to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Strip floors and use wet vacuums to ensure a clean and dry surface
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairing and replacing equipment as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
