Hendrick Chevrolet Shawnee Mission Collision Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Collision Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Collision Center, you will be responsible for identifying and performing necessary body repair work on customer vehicles, ensuring a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Summary: This role requires a strong understanding of body repair methods, collision center repair training, and the ability to operate equipment necessary to perform collision center repair functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Body Repair Specialist: Examines body damage on customer vehicles, identifies necessary body repair work, and estimates the cost of repairs.
- Equipment Operation: Operates equipment necessary to perform collision center repair functions, including power tools and test equipment.
- Repair Documentation: Documents all repairs performed, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Quality Control: Ensures all repairs meet or exceed company standards, maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Works closely with other team members, including estimators and management, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a strong emphasis on automotive repair and body shop experience.
- Collision Center Repair Training: Completion of a collision center repair training program or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
- Equipment Operation: Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform collision center repair functions, including power tools and test equipment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and management.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately document repairs and maintain a high level of quality control.
