We are seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to join our team at a local secondary school in Dorchester.

Job Overview

This role involves providing support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them understand and manage their emotions and behaviours in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive learning environment by promoting and reinforcing positive behaviour and social skills among students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and review behaviour intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Monitor student behaviour and progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback as necessary.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
