Key Responsibilities
  • Emergency Planning and Response
    • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure business continuity.
    • Conduct regular training and exercises to ensure employees are prepared to respond to emergencies.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective emergency response and recovery.
  • Situational Awareness and Reporting
    • Provide situational awareness and reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders during emergency events.
    • Support the Incident Response Team and Incident Management Team in responding to emergencies.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees are equipped to respond to emergencies.
    • Establish and maintain training records to ensure compliance with ISO standards and audits.
  • Post-Incident Reviews and Improvement
    • Facilitate post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement.
    • Partner with affected teams and site leadership to implement improvements and ensure timely deployment of corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of emergency management or public safety experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Operational understanding and working knowledge of computer proficiency (Word, Excel, internet, etc.).
    • Project management, change management, and planning experience.
    • Solid understanding of the Incident/Emergency Command System.
Working Conditions
  • 30% travel required.
  • Ability to make reasonable judgments during high-stress emergency events.
