Your Responsibilities:
As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will thrive in a dynamic hospital environment that challenges you to think critically and respond swiftly to urgent situations. Your hands-on care and reassurance will be essential for critically ill and injured patients. You will have the opportunity to operate cutting-edge technology to generate high-quality images, collaborating with professionals across various disciplines to aid in diagnosis and save lives.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Contributing significantly to patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Guiding a diverse range of patients through the imaging process, providing clarity and comfort during potentially stressful experiences.
- Independently performing radiologic procedures and examinations.
- Operating both fixed and portable fluoroscopic or conventional radiologic equipment in various settings, including operating rooms and emergency departments.
- Obtaining routine radiographs according to physician specifications under general supervision.
- Positioning patients and adjusting radiologic equipment to ensure accurate settings for each examination.
- Ensuring patient care and safety throughout their experience in Radiology.
- Assisting physicians with examinations by preparing and administering contrast media under direct supervision.
- Supporting sterile procedures and other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
Experience:
- No prior experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of relevant experience.
Certification/License:
- Certification as a radiologic technologist in accordance with Florida Statutes and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
