Position Overview:
As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist at

Grand Strand Medical Center, you will join a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional healthcare services.

Work Schedule:
Shifts are from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, rotating between Monday-Wednesday in the first week and Thursday-Saturday in the second week.

Job Responsibilities:
The MRI Technologist is responsible for conducting MRI examinations while demonstrating expertise in the safe operation of MRI equipment and accessories. Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing MRI scans according to established protocols on various body parts efficiently.
  • Conducting pre-exam screenings, welcoming patients, and assisting with gowning.
  • Completing necessary documentation, including patient history forms and technologist exam sheets.
  • Verifying and adhering to physician orders in patient charts.
  • Administering contrast media safely and managing IVs as required.
  • Transporting patients to and from imaging areas and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Effectively communicating with physicians, colleagues, patients, and their families.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A degree from an AMA accredited Radiography program.
  • RT and MR certification from ARRT.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist and two years of MRI experience is preferred.
