UTMB Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Simulation Specialist to provide operational support and contribute clinical knowledge for simulation experiences in human and non-human simulation activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health-related fields and experience in academic, healthcare, or simulation learning environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, set-up, and lead human and non-human simulation activities
- Provide technical assistance, support, and training to faculty, instructors, and staff in the use of simulation equipment
- Conduct tours and simulation sessions for internal/external groups and/or individuals
- Maintain simulation equipment, catalogs, and operation manuals
- Operate audiovisual systems and train others in their use
- Comply with governmental and University policies, rules, and regulations
- Master's degree in a health-related field plus two years' relevant experience in academic, healthcare, or simulation learning environments
- OR Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field plus four years' clinical experience
- Preferred qualifications include three years' practice or simulation experience in an academic/hospital setting and one to two years' experience using B Line or similar Medical Simulation software
