Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Ophthalmologist Specialist to join our team.

This role involves working closely with Corneal Specialists in a co-management arrangement within the Department of Ophthalmology at Ochsner Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and managing complex eye conditions, including keratoconus, Fuch's Dystrophy, ocular inflammatory and infectious conditions, as well as preoperative and post-operative care of LASIK, cataract, Crosslinking, and corneal transplant patients.

The position requires a strong desire to acquire a depth of knowledge related to the medical management of anterior segment pathology and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and in a co-management relationship with MDs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and manage complex eye conditions
  • Preoperative and post-operative patient care
  • Collaborate with Corneal Specialists in a co-management arrangement
