Club Academy Tutor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Club Academy Tutor to join our team at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain. As a key member of our education team, you will work closely with 1st through 5th grade students, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve academic success.

• Develop and implement lesson plans, following a set program format, to support students in grade-level math and literacy.
• Tutor assigned students 4 times per week, for 30 minutes per session, and assess their progress to inform instruction.
• Collaborate with staff to design and implement engaging after-school literacy games and activities.
• Provide guidance and direction to youth in the areas of educational programs, promoting a safe and positive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with youth, volunteers, parents, schools, and community partners.
• Assist with tracking daily attendance and other program administrative duties.

• Associates Degree or greater required; certification as a teacher preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work or volunteer experience with youth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated experience working within diverse socioeconomic demographics.

• Competitive hourly rate: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour.
