Flat fee of $BR,000 - The reduced \"Standard MSP fee\" fee will apply.

True-up fee - \"Standard Direct Hire\" fee will apply.

ROLE: The PICC Line Nurse will assess and perform an overall evaluation of the patient. Responsible for placement of the line and ensure the line placement is correctly inserted.

PER DIEM PICC NURSES ARE PAID BY PLACEMENT. PLACEMENT FEES ARE LISTED BELOW.

PICC Insertion- $BR75

Midline Insertion- $BR50

Extended Dwell Insertion- $BR25

Peripheral IV- $BR00

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  2. Ability to work independently.

  3. Communicates effectively and appropriately to patients, family and other health care providers.

  4. Completes required paperwork.

  5. Provides patient education about the PICC (or midline) insertion and the care and maintenance issues post insertion

  6. Participates in performance improvement activities by providing information about each PICC (or midline) insertion to the facility staff as requested

  7. Demonstrates ability to assess patient past and current medical history including laboratory values, venous and muscle skeletal status that is pertinent in qualifying a patient as a candidate for PICC placement.

  8. Assures physicians order on chart for PICC placement.

  9. Assures Informed Consent has been obtained.

  10. Performs time out; correct patient identifier prior to initiating PICC procedure.

  11. Demonstrates ability to perform PICC placement maintaining aseptic technique utilizing measures that prevent patient discomfort and trauma related to procedure.

  12. Demonstrates high level skills in critical thinking and assessment related to vascular access devices.

  13. Maintains clinical competency by inserting a minimum of six PICCs/year and by performing one observed successful PICC insertion

  14. Documents insertion of PICC (or midline), confirmation of placement by radiologist for PICC, and medication administration, in accordance with company policy

  15. Provides facility nurses/staff instructions about the patient\'s PICC (or midline) care and maintenance

  16. Assist Territory Managers in meetings for clinical support as needed

  17. Assist Director of Vascular Access in facility rounds to meet with and support Directors of

  18. Nursing, Administration and Nursing staff

  19. Is responsible for the fiscal viability of the PICC program by entering the charges for the insertion, proper usage of equipment, and productive use of time

  20. Maintains patient confidentiality.



Additional Information:



  2. Candidate will have to utilize their own vehicle and will be paid $0.32/mile after the first 50 miles of each day

  3. Patient Population: Adult only

  4. PICC Nurse would travel to Nursing Homes and Acute Care Hospitals to provide services.

Requirement description:



  2. Undergraduate Degree in Nursing

  3. Current RN (Registered Nursing) license

  4. PICC Certification

  5. Current BLS certification

  6. COVID 19 Vaccinated Required, Proof must be submitted in candidate packet at time of submission or candidate will be automatically declined. Requirements are subject to change at a future time per client.

  7. Must have good knowledge base for caring for central venous catheters.

  8. Strong oral and written communication skills

  9. 2 years of OR, IR, or PICC insertion experience.
