Institute for Community Living, Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Support Specialist to join our team. This is an entry-level position that requires a wide range of skills and abilities, including direct care, front desk operations, counseling, substance abuse support, and medication management.
About the Role:
The Community Support Specialist will work closely with our residents, their families, and our interdisciplinary team to ensure the provision of 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week coverage. Your duties will include performing various tasks related to front desk operations, counseling, substance abuse support, medication management, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to individuals in our community residences
- Perform front desk operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing paperwork
- Work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care
- Provide counseling and support services to residents and their families
- Assist with medication management and other health-related tasks
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to pass a background check.
