Role Overview

The primary objective of this role is to execute a variety of imaging procedures, including CT scans and X-Rays, at a technical level that does not necessitate constant oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical support and compassionate patient care to assist physicians, nurses, and other staff in addressing the needs of patients throughout the facility.
  • Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment, including but not limited to X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
  • Conduct all imaging examinations in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, ensuring timely communication of results to the physician on duty.
  • Execute basic clinical procedures under the guidance of the physician and/or nurse on duty.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables for quality testing.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment following established protocols.
  • Perform Quality Control as mandated by the laboratory.
  • Participate in Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis as required.
  • Retain records of all analytic activities for a minimum of two years.
  • Engage in all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this position and document these for periodic review.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist as an ER Technician when necessary.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables for quality testing.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment.
  • Travel to various facility locations as required.
  • Attend staff meetings or other company-sponsored meetings as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program is required.
  • Associate's Degree in Radiology is preferred.
  • Certification as a medical radiologic technologist as mandated by the state is required.
  • CT Certification is preferred.
  • CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography is required.
  • Registered Technologist with the ARRT in computed tomography is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • 2+ years of radiologic/imaging experience is preferred.
  • 1+ years of CT experience is preferred.
  • 1+ years of emergency room experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with most X-ray/CT equipment and PACS is essential.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required.
