Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at our facility, you will join a team dedicated to fostering positive patient experiences and addressing the comprehensive wellness needs of those we serve.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide direct physical and psychosocial care to patients through a systematic nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Deliver holistic, individualized care tailored to the patient's age and needs.
  • Advocate for patient safety and ensure adherence to core measures for relevant patients.
  • Engage in personal and professional development while inspiring colleagues to pursue similar growth.
  • Serve as a mentor and preceptor for new staff members.
  • Participate in the creation and execution of care plans.
  • Communicate effectively to enhance patient outcomes, ensure quality interventions, and promote teamwork within the healthcare team.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing in the State of Utah.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) / Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of experience in chemical dependency or psychiatric nursing, or a strong willingness to develop skills in this area.
