The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place is seeking a skilled Mental Health Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health conditions.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on various health conditions and promote patient safety.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and make adjustments as needed.
- Administer medications accurately and document patient responses.
- Supervise self-administration of medications and maintain accountability of medication administration.
- Participate in unit activities, such as therapy groups and family meetings, to promote patient engagement and well-being.
- Monitor patient acuity, census, and staffing needs, and make arrangements for coverage as needed.
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
- One or more years of nursing experience in a clinical area, preferably in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing.
- Valid current RN license from the state or a compact state, where applicable.
- Certification in psychiatric nursing is preferred.
