Job Summary:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Adventist Health, you will play a critical role in administering radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to detect and treat diseases. You will work with radioisotope equipment, administer medical substances for imaging and other procedures, and perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Operate radioisotope equipment to prepare and administer radioactive materials.
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, including blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies.
  • Document all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys.
  • Obtain patient information and disseminate preparation instructions to patient care areas.
  • Elevate questions, problems, and challenges to senior staff for direction or expertise.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine from the state of practice.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification.
  • Venipuncture certification in CA and HI.
  • State-specific license in Hawaii.
  • Facility-specific licenses and certifications, including Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or National Nuclear Med Tech (NMTCB).
