Job SummaryAs a Surgical Technologist Level I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, you will assist in preparing the operating room, maintaining a safe environment, and providing support to the surgical team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing the operating room, including setting up equipment and supplies.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide support to the surgical team, including passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Assist in transporting patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the medical center.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, including planning, measuring, and assessing.
- One (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years' operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience.
- Graduate of an approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
- National Center for Competency Testing Certificate - Technologist in Surgery.
