Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our laboratory services by performing phlebotomies, processing laboratory specimens, and collecting specialized tests.

Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomies on patients of all age groups
  • Process laboratory specimens and collect specialized tests
  • Assist with patient registrations and ordering laboratory tests in the EMR
  • Work collaboratively with our laboratory team to ensure efficient and accurate testing
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Completion of a phlebotomy, certified nursing assistant, or medical assistant training course
  • Certification with ASCP or the National Healthcareer Association, Inc. as a certified phlebotomy technician or other discipline listed above
