Surgical Pre-Admission Care Coordinator Job Description

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per year

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Pre-Admission Care Coordinator to join our team at RINCON AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of patients before surgical procedures, educating patients and their families on pre-op instructions, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their readiness for surgery.
  2. Review patients' medical history, medication lists, and other relevant information to identify potential risks or complications.
  3. Develop and implement individualized care plans to ensure patients receive optimal care.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of care.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in this state.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
