Job Overview

TPD is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for managing transportation projects and tasks involving highway, bridge, and traffic improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage transportation projects and tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Coordinate effectively with local, agency, and state staff and officials, as well as internal task leaders and staff.
  • Manage, review, and sign/seal plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Possess a working knowledge of transportation-related activities, including environmental clearance, environmental permitting, utility clearance, and right-of-way clearance.
  • Possess a working knowledge of pre-bid documents, such as tabulation sheets, summary sheets, pre-bid construction schedules, and construction cost estimates.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff, and coordinate effectively across teams within the company.
  • Actively participate in the company's business development activities, including meetings, networking, statements of interest, qualifications packages, technical proposals, and price proposals.
  • Actively participate in the company's professional development program, which includes participation in industry organizations such as ACEC/PA, APC, and ASCE.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
  • Project Management experience for PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with local, agency, and state staff and officials.
  • Ability to manage staff and coordinate effectively in a team-based atmosphere.
  • Willingness to actively participate in the company's business development and professional development initiatives.
  • Strong work ethic, positive can-do attitude, and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver's License.
