Job Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other healthcare team members.
In addition, the staff RN contributes to the management of the unit by monitoring unit activities and developing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care through the application of the nursing process and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Assume responsibility for a group of patients and provide care to meet their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Contribute to the management of the unit by monitoring activities and developing staff to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Acute care hospital experience preferred, but not required.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of employment or compact.
- BCLS certification.
