The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at WoodSpring Suites Fort Worth Trophy Club. This role involves participating in the preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests, and performing tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, including ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, and HVAC systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing vinyl, and caulking tubs.
- Monitor energy conservation and perform repairs on plumbing, laundry equipment, and other small equipment as needed.
- Immediately respond to alarms and determine the cause, reporting findings to the Front Desk.
- Perform other tasks and jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Licensed in a trade, such as plumbing or electrical work, is preferred.
- A valid driver's license for the applicable state is required.
- An acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) is required.
- Certification in a trade or related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repair, painting, and HVAC systems is preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, monitoring own work to ensure quality and applying feedback to improve performance.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in response to change and adapt to new methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety principles and federal and state OSHA regulations is required.
