Key Responsibilities
As a Community Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing relationship-centered care, which includes:
- Administering medications and monitoring vital signs while ensuring accurate documentation.
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks, including bathing and toileting, and providing bedside care as necessary.
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment through housekeeping duties.
- Preparing meals and accommodating specific dietary needs during mealtimes.
- Transporting residents to medical and social service appointments as needed.
- Encouraging resident participation in community activities and therapeutic programs.
- Collaborating with team members to uphold a culture of safety and high-quality care.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma; further training as a nursing assistant or home health aide is preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- A minimum of two years of experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those facing homelessness or mental health challenges.
- The ability to work effectively in a diverse community and a willingness to contribute fully to our mission.
