We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our team of nurses to deliver high-quality, efficient care in our unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of patients in your unit.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Provide leadership to your nursing team during your designated shift.
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN Preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS.
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer in the following units: Progressive Care, ICU, SICU, CVOR, PACU, EP, Endo, and ER.
- PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire/transfer in the Emergency Department.
- CPI training required within 3 months of hire/transfer for Behavioral Health.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.
HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is a 237-bed acute care hospital serving Charlotte County. We offer a range of services, including emergency care, an accredited cancer program, a stroke center of excellence, and a chest pain center. Our hospital has an orthopedic and spine center, wound management, and hyperbaric medicine. We also provide inpatient, outpatient, and cardiovascular surgery services, as well as sports and rehabilitation services and outpatient programs. Our hospital has a strong commitment to community wellness and has provided healthcare in Charlotte County for 40 years.
