Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Scheduler to join our team at Kratos Defense. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing scheduling best practices for program planning, creating, executing, and monitoring a dynamic Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, Maintain, and Analyze IMS: Develop and maintain a comprehensive IMS for Kratos SRE Engineering Technical Services, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling.
  • Experience with Planning and Scheduling: Possess experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling, with a strong understanding of scheduling principles and practices.
  • Strong Communication and Project Management Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and Improve Scheduling Tools and Processes: Develop, maintain, and improve scheduling tools and processes that identify, analyze, and brief potential schedule constraints, ensuring efficient and effective scheduling practices.
  • Evaluate Schedules and Share Forecast Assumptions: Evaluate schedules and share forecast assumptions and impacts to critical milestones with various customers, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Coordinate with Internal and External Stakeholders: Coordinate with internal and external machine shops, internal laboratories, business partners, and vendors to ensure seamless scheduling and execution.
  • De-conflict and Set Priorities: De-conflict and set priorities by working with leadership, engineers, machinists, and lab technicians, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish Earned Value Management (EVM) Practices: Establish EVM practices to support management decisions, ensuring accurate and timely measurement of project performance.

  • Apply Basic and Advanced Skills: Apply basic and advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, software, and/or equipment appropriate to the area of specialization.
  • Work Semi-independently: Work semi-independently with managerial guidance to accomplish tasks, with a strong emphasis on autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Develop a Scheduling Methodology: Develop a scheduling methodology for our unique business, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Develop and Maintain Scheduling and Operational Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain scheduling and operational performance metrics, ensuring accurate and timely measurement of project performance.
  • Perform Other Duties as Required: Perform other duties as may be required by manager, with a strong emphasis on adaptability and flexibility.
  • Experience in Developing or Maintaining Resource-Loaded Schedules: Possess experience in developing or maintaining resource-loaded schedules, with a strong understanding of scheduling principles and practices.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship Required: Must be a US citizen, with the ability to obtain/maintain security clearance at a level equivalent to Department of Defense (DOD) SECRET.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Related Discipline: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or other related business discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products: Possess expertise in Microsoft Office products, to include MS Project.
  • Strong Math and Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong math and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Very Good Interpersonal Skills: Possess very good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
