Job Summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced Primary Care Nurse RN or LPN to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete triage and identify abnormal patient symptoms, laboratory findings, and notify physician or provide treatment according to standard Primary Care developed protocols.
  • Assist with EPIC in-basket management, including incoming and outgoing telephonic or MyMercy messages, test results, medication refill requests, etc.
  • Input orders as needed to aid provider and clinical care team.

Requirements:

  • Must live in Joplin or surrounding areas.
  • Must complete 12-weeks of on-site training prior to transitioning to work from home.
  • Must also be available to come on-site a minimum of once a week and for monthly or quarterly clinic meetings.

LPN Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing
  • Licensure: Active LPN license
  • Experience: 2-3 years of nursing experience
  • Preferred Experience: strongly prefer clinic or Primary Care experience

RN Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing, Graduation from registered nursing program, Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), OR 4 years of commensurate experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree
  • Licensure: Active RN license
  • Experience: 2-3 years of nursing experience
  • Preferred Experience: strongly prefer clinic or Primary Care experience
