Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality health services to clients, including sick calls, medical assessments, and health education.
  • Assess and prioritize medical needs during each shift, providing treatment within the nursing scope of practice.
  • Assist medical staff in administering prescribed medications and conducting health screenings.
  • Ensure compliance with state agency requirements for health screenings and documentation.
  • Provide training on infection control and safety protocols as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs as required by agency standards.
  • Participate in emergency drills and staff training sessions.
  • Oversee the maintenance of health supplies and equipment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain licensure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Education: Must possess the necessary education and licensing as a Licensed Practical Nurse, with current licensure in the state of employment.
  • Experience: Preferred experience in school, correctional, or public health settings, particularly with pediatric or adolescent care.
  • Skills: Strong decision-making abilities, adaptability to changing conditions, and a solid understanding of child and adolescent health issues.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds and provide necessary physical care to clients.
  • Other: Must hold a valid state driver's license and meet background check requirements.
