About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Recovery Solutions. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for conducting court-ordered evaluations, commitment, and recommitment evaluations, as well as providing expert testimony in court.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform court-ordered evaluations, including commitment and recommitment evaluations under G.L. c. 123.
  • Evaluate individuals with mental health difficulties related to Competence to Stand Trial (CST), Criminal Responsibility (CR), aid-in-sentencing, and civil commitment.
  • Conduct inpatient examinations of defendants related to CST and CR, coordinating with inpatient teams and courts.
  • Complete forensic evaluations, including competence to stand trial updates and Independent Forensic Risk Assessments.
  • Provide supervision and training to psychology students, give education to the clinical team, and provide expert testimony in court.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Psy. D. in psychology from an accredited university.
  • Three years of experience working in a psychiatric hospital or correctional facility is preferred.
  • Current license as a Psychologist in Massachusetts.
  • Designated Forensic Psychologist (DFP) or working towards becoming a DFP.
