OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the CMP Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Senior CMP Process Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing wafer Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) operations. This position focuses on implementing cost-effective strategies, performing root cause investigations, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and assist with daily CMP manufacturing activities
  • Deliver technical guidance to operators and engineering personnel
  • Collaborate with the development team on process integration initiatives
  • Evaluate data and execute experiments aimed at process optimization
  • Adopt methodologies to boost yield and operational efficiency
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective measures
  • Address inquiries and communicate findings to various stakeholders
  • Comply with safety regulations and protocols

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics
  • A minimum of five years' experience in semiconductor or thin film production
  • In-depth understanding of CMP methodologies and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based in an office setting, may involve intra-facility travel, and requires the use of protective equipment in a cleanroom environment. The role may expose the individual to hazardous conditions and elevated noise levels.
