Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Preschool Culinary Specialist to join our team at The Learning Experience - Corporate Childcare Centers. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals to our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that meet state nutritional requirements and are appealing to children.
    • Plan and prepare meals in advance to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation
    • Ensure that all food handling and preparation procedures meet local health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including storage and disposal of food and supplies.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage food inventory and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet our menu needs.
    • Place orders for food and supplies as needed.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with our childcare staff to ensure that meals are served in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Communicate with parents and staff to ensure that we are meeting their dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Relevant experience in a licensed childcare facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, or public school cafeteria preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Ability to plan and prepare nutritious meals for children.
    • Knowledge of state and local health and safety regulations.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions
