We are seeking an experienced Pet Care Professional to join our team at New Horizon Kennel, Inc. in Port Byron, IL.

Salary: This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $16-$20 per hour, which translates to an estimated annual salary of $33,280 - $41,600 based on 40 hours of work per week.

About the Job:

In this role, you will be responsible for teaching basic obedience and advanced training techniques to our canine friends, while also creating stimulating environments that foster happy and well-behaved pets.

The ideal candidate will have excellent listening, time management, and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience using computers
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds and be physically active during your shift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Animal science degree
  • Animal behavior schooling
  • Dog handling experience via training classes, confirmation show experience, or other competitive canine activity
