Job Overview:

We are a leading beauty industry company seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing our procurement processes, ensuring accurate data entry, and building strong relationships with our vendors.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records within our ERP system, including SKU's, Quantities, Unit Price, Lead Times, and Terms & Conditions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely production progress and update our Operations teams accordingly.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies in orders, ensuring seamless communication between vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control to resolve quality issues with incoming shipments.
  • Negotiate with vendors to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Prepare and submit payment applications to our Accounting Department.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of payment documents to facilitate smooth financial transactions.

Logistics Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop a comprehensive logistical plan, evaluating and selecting cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Manage shipping fees, aiming to stay within +/-5% of our budget.
  • Ensure compliance with export/import regulations and coordinate with vendors to optimize shipping costs.

Supplier Management:

  • Maintain an up-to-date supplier database within our ERP system.
  • Evaluate supplier performance on a monthly basis and share results with our Operations team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster open communication and effective negotiation.

Vendor Negotiation:

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements aligned with company objectives.
  • Continuously assess vendor performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Management:

  • Analyze purchase price variance, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to address pricing discrepancies and negotiate cost reductions.
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to track and report PPV metrics accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, vendor negotiation, and supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in forecasting tools and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $52,000 per year, based on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401(k) with 4% match, paid parental leave, paid time off, professional development assistance, and vision insurance.

Schedule and Work Location:

This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift, working in person at our office.
