Nursing Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Nursing Director to lead our Emergency Services team at Ascension St. John Medical Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

• Develop and implement emergency services policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
• Develop departmental goals, plans, and standards to align with organizational objectives.
• Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepare budgets and ensure compliance with allocated funding to support departmental operations.
• Coordinate and direct internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance and quality improvement.
• Administer and evaluate all clinical activities, including care plan development, service level determination, and complaint management.

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required; Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date required.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required; Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
• Work Experience: 5 years of experience required; 10 years of experience preferred; 2 years of leadership or management experience required; 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
