Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Materials Analyst to contribute to our operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and communicate material requirements to suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of components.
  • Identify and assist in addressing delivery performance issues to minimize delays in production.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers regarding late or short deliveries, enabling proactive measures and updates to manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to stay informed about delivery delays and potential quality concerns.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels in alignment with lean manufacturing practices.
  • Engage with potential suppliers for new parts to secure estimated delivery timelines, ensuring availability to meet production goals.
  • Monitor trends and inform management about strategies to improve or address chronic supplier issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff on monitoring and coordinating timely deliveries.
  • Track lead times for purchased parts by supplier and notify management of any deviations from expected timelines.
  • Maintain quality metrics for suppliers.
  • Order and expedite parts that exceed normal lead times to support urgent manufacturing needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or customer service role; OR
  • Associate degree with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or customer service role; OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or customer service role.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from $61,000 to $75,000, with actual salaries varying based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
