Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing entire teams and driving sales through great execution and building profits by focusing on the details.
Responsibilities
- Make regular inspections of restaurants to observe the quality of food preparation and service; food appearance; and cleanliness and sanitation of production and service areas/equipment; and employee appearance.
- Conduct line checks/tasks list and sanitize walk-throughs utilizing Ecosure food safety programs.
- Oversee product purchasing and manage the culinary budget.
- Drive a culture of building sales through great execution and building profits by focusing on the details.
- Motivate your team through praise and recognition.
- Ensure teammates have the proper tools to succeed.
- Identify talent within and outside of the restaurant.
- Hire, develop, evaluate and performance management of the culinary team.
- Maintain a budgeted food cost & daily/weekly inventory levels.
- Create teammates schedules while adhering to forecasting and budgeting guidelines.
- Address difficult situations and guests complaints through AIM - Apologize, Investigate, and involve Management.
- Communicate clearly. Write well. Speak well. Explain just about anything to anyone.
- Prepare thoroughly and strive for perfection.
- Practice what you preach.
Requirements
- High School or better.
- 3 years: Executive Chef or KM with high volume experience: Prior Full-service kitchen background. Strong developmental and cross-training abilities with a prior record of success developing entire teams.
