Overview:
The Lown Cardiovascular Group is in search of a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to enhance our esteemed concierge Internal Medicine practice. This full-time role involves comprehensive patient assessment, management, and the formulation of effective care plans, all while working under the guidance of an attending physician and reporting to the Medical Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including counseling and education, in an outpatient setting.
- Manage medical inquiries via phone triage.
- Conduct thorough histories and physical assessments, including annual wellness exams.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Formulate and implement care plans based on clinical findings.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain high standards of documentation and patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Exhibit sound clinical judgment and operate independently.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed by the practice.
Non-Clinical Responsibilities:
- Foster professional relationships with fellow providers.
- Adhere to prescriptive practices and monitoring protocols.
- Engage in practice initiatives and attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Commit to ongoing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited program qualifying for the NCCPA certification examination.
- Current certification by the relevant NP/PA governing body prior to employment.
- Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Current DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration.
- Completion of required continuing medical education (CME) every two years.
