Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of CT scan imaging procedures to diagnose medical conditions. This role requires operating the CT scan equipment to produce high-quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients. The CT Technologist will obtain consent, prepare patients, and explain the procedure to them. The patient population may range from newborn to geriatric.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
  • Determine the most suitable anatomical posture/position and shield patients accordingly
  • Collaborate with physicians and other Imaging staff as needed
  • Practice aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures
  • Work within the CT Tech scope of practice according to policy and procedures
  • Follow all general infection control measures and those specific to the CT scan department
  • Complete required documentation accurately immediately after completing each case

Requirements

  • FL Licensed General Radiographer
  • ARRT – CT Certification

This role requires being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
