About the Role

As a Public Transit Driver in Orleans County, you will play a vital role in providing safe and reliable transportation services to our community. Your primary responsibilities will include driving a bus or other revenue service vehicle over specified routes, picking up passengers in response to radio or telephone relayed requests, and assisting customers with boarding and debarking the vehicle.

You will also be responsible for recording activities on trip logs, reporting any malfunctions, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a customer-facing role and value the importance of safety and reliability in public transportation.

Requirements:

  • Valid NY State Commercial Driver's License (Class A, B, or C) with passenger endorsement preferred, but not required - WE WILL TRAIN YOU
  • Clean driving record and at least 5 years of regular class D driving experience required
  • Excellent Customer Service skills are a must
