Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Records Specialist to join our team at Guardian Flight. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of aircraft maintenance and alterations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, sort, review, analyze, organize, update, file, and maintain all aircraft records, including airframe/engine records, airframe/engine component records, aircraft logbooks, engine logbooks, FAA form 337s, ICAs, AAIP inspection checklists, forms, parts tags, and other associated aircraft records.
  • Perform routine data entry functions, create and prepare standard and recurring reports, and obtain data from electronic systems as required.
  • Audit flight log information, maintenance actions, and FAA regulatory compliance in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual.
  • Generate Aircraft Status Reports and Short-Term Due Lists, and distribute reports to applicable personnel.
  • Report any discovered documentation discrepancies and assist with a resolution.
  • Work with Supply Chain to identify components that require historical information prior to being sent out for service.
  • Receive packages, sort, and file maintenance paperwork.
  • Track component changes to ensure receipt of proper documentation to complete records.
  • Maintain aircraft records archives.
  • Communicate effectively with Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel, Field Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Control Specialist, and Flight Operations personnel to resolve issues of missing paperwork and corrections.
Requirements:
  • 1-5 years' experience working with aircraft maintenance and alterations documents preferred.
  • Experience maintaining aircraft maintenance records preferred.
  • Experience administering aircraft technical database programs such as CAMP, Flight Docs, RAMCO, and other aircraft records database programs preferred.
Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Excellent math skills, sound judgment, and objectivity in decision-making.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with an eagerness to contribute to the overall success of the maintenance department and the company.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with all levels of an organization.
  • Proficient in a dynamic computerized working environment performing administrative tasks using Microsoft Office Suite programs, Adobe Acrobat, and web-based maintenance management programs.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Maintain an organized and functional work environment for records accessibility.
Credentials/Licenses:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
